A SEMIOTIC STUDY: THE HISTORICAL VALUE AND ASPIRATIONS OF THE QOSHIDAH FOR ONE CENTURY OF NAHDLATOEL 'OELAMA

Abstract

Nahdlatoel 'Oelama presented many things to enliven the centuries-old momentum of Nahdlatoel 'Oelama, including the Nahdliyah qhosidah. Qhosidah Nahdliyah is a song full of historical meaning and hope commemorating 100 years of the founding of Nahdlatoel 'Oelama. Lyricist KH Afifuddin Muhajir started his qhosidah with optimism about Nahdlatoel 'Oelama as an organization that inspires determination to simultaneously defend the glory of Islam and the Motherland. Then tells the story of Nahdlatoel 'Oelama which was founded by ulama. Several scholars who played a role in the founding of Nahdlatoel 'Oelama such as Hadratus Cheikh KH Hasyim Asyâari are mentioned in this qhosidah. Apart from that, the images in the song's MV also contain historical value and Nahdlatoel 'Oelama's hopes for the future. This research specifically aims to analyze historical values ​​and hope in Qoshidah Un Siècle by Nahdlatoel 'Oelama through Ferdinand De Saussure's semiotic perspective. This research is a qualitative descriptive type with research objects in the form of words, music (sound) and images. The research results show that there are historical values ​​and hopes expressed in the lyrics, music and music video of Qoshidah Satu Abad Nahdlatoel 'Oelama by KH Afifuddin Muhajir.
