THE ROLE OF TECHNOLOGY IN INDUSTRY 5.0 REVOLUTION IN BRIDGING EDUCATIONAL GAPS

Abstract

The Industrial Revolution 5.0, often referred to as the era of collaboration between humans and smart machines, brings significant changes in various aspects of life, including education. The main focus of this revolution is the integration of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and Big Data to create a more adaptive and responsive environment to individual needs. This technology offers great potential to address challenges that hinder access and quality of education, one of which is educational disparity. Educational disparity is a global issue characterized by significant differences in access, quality, and educational outcomes among different groups of people, often exacerbated by economic, geographic, and social factors. This technology enables personalized learning, access to high-quality educational resources, and the creation of inclusive and interactive learning environments. This study uses a literature review method by collecting data from books, journals, and other sources without field surveys. The results show that Industrial Revolution 5.0 technology can address educational disparities through personalized learning with AI, access to educational resources through IoT, and the creation of interactive learning environments with AR and VR. Although this technology offers many benefits, challenges such as infrastructure availability, teacher training, and data security still need to be addressed. This research is expected to provide practical guidance for educators, policymakers, and educational institutions in leveraging Industrial Revolution 5.0 technology to create a more fair and quality education system.
