HUMAN DEVELOPMENT INDEX, CIRCULARITY INTERRELATION AND ECONOMIC SUSTAINABILITY

Abstract

The transition to a developed country requires action and policy. In government practice, its transition can be strategized generally by setting targets. So far, the Human Development Index does not have a specific achievement target due to the indicators measurement which are still rare to use. To bridge this gap, this paper focuses on studying which targets can facilitate the transition to a developed country by maximizing human development measurement tools. This analysis focuses on previous and updated tools (recommendations); this approach aims to complete the previous tools which are limited to some indicators that only cover part of the development sustainability goals. A framework based on HDI, circular economy, and sustainable investment. This study clarifies that existing human development targets do not necessarily support sustainable development, even though they are the most commonly implemented targets recently. In the case of a lack of measuring tools effectiveness whether on integrating education through knowledge quality, the existence of waste banks as a response to a circular economy and investment sustainability needs to be reconsidered. Furthermore, this study explores the HDI published by the Center of Statistics Agency which has examined and published the human development condition. Specifically, this study aims to expanding a new indicator series to be included to human development success rate measurable variables emphasizing on the circular economy and a new view on investment sustainability and is intended for academics and policy-makers.
