HUMAN DEVELOPMENT INDEX AND INDUSTRIAL LABOR ON ECONOMIC GROWTH IN NORTH SUMATRA PROVINCE

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the human development index and industrial labor on economic growth in North Sumatra Province. The specific target of this research is to analyze the influence of human development index variables and industrial labor on economic growth in North Sumatra Province. So that it can show how much influence these variables have on economic growth.  This study is descriptive qualitative with a literature study method through literature studies sourced from journals of previous research results related to the title, also through access to data obtained from the website as an information publication. based on the results of this study explained that the Human Development Index in North Sumatra Province affects Economic Growth while Industrial Labor does not affect Economic Growth in North Sumatra Province. In this study, it is necessary to have policies that can encourage economic growth in North Sumatra Province, including equal distribution of human development in each region so that inequality does not occur, as well as improvements in the field of education, especially in remote areas of North Sumatra Province to form quality human capital.
