NEEDS ANALYSIS OF HEALTH INFORMATION SYSTEM IN SCHOOLS

Abstract

The importance of health from elementary school to secondary school means that we know what is useful for health and what can reduce health. There are several objectives why health education needs to be provided, including, achieving changes in individual, family and community behavior, in fostering and maintaining healthy behavior and a healthy environment, as well as an active role in efforts to realize optimal levels of health and in accordance with the concept of healthy living both physically and mentally. , mental and social so as to reduce morbidity and mortality rates. (Gagnon, 2024). The health of school-age children, which includes nutritional adequacy, health status, and various disease risk factors, can be predicted and managed to achieve optimal health in the future. Serang City has 30 state junior high schools, until now, there is no information system for health education for school-age children that is integrated between the Health Service and the Serang City Education Office. The information system shows that basic health is an important issue in the success of education, which if it can be done optimally will provide benefits for students because education that uses technology in the current era of digitalization is considered more in line with current developments. The aim of this research is to analyze the needs for children's health information systems in junior high schools by mapping out a picture of information system needs that can be used to improve health education. This research is a type of descriptive research. The results of this research show that students need information media that integrates technology through Android-based applications using software. Mobile-based information systems can contribute significantly to improving health education in junior high schools in Serang City. With the adoption of this technology, health information can be easily accessed and managed well.
